Question:

A vessel is in the former of hollow hemisphere mousted by a hollow cylinder . the diameter of theach hemisphere is 14 cm and the height of the vessel is 13cm find the inner surface area of the vessel.

Answer:

Diameter of hemisphere = 14cm

Diameter of hemisphere = 7cm

Total height of vessel = 13cm

✿ curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

→ C.S.A cylinder = 2×22/7×6

→C.S.A cylinder = 44× 6

→C.S.A cylinder = 264 cm²

✿ Surface area of hemisphere = 2πr²

→S.A of hemisphere= 2×22/7×(7²)

→S.A of hemisphere = 2×22/7×49

→S.A of hemisphere = 44×7

→S.A of hemisphere = 308 cm²

✿ Total surface area of vesse l= curved surface area of cylinder+ surface area of hemisphere

✿ Total surface area of vessel = 264+308

= 572 Cm²

Hence the total surface area of vessel= 572cm²
