Given : A vibrating wire produces 600 vibrations in one minute.

To find : What is its time period and frequency?

Using formula :

1) Frequency = Number of times the pendulum oscillates/Total number of time taken.

2) Time period = Number of oscillation per second/Frequency.

Calculations :

→ Frequency = 600/1

→ Frequency = 600 hertz

→ Time period = 1/600

→ Time period = 0.00166666667 seconds

Therefore,

  1. Frequency = 600 hertz.
  2. Time period = 0.00166666667 seconds.
