SOLUTION:

As we are given in the question,

A videoke machine is rented for P 1000 for three days,

That means,

if  d ≤ 3   then cost  =  1000

if   d > 3 then cost  = 1000  + (d - 3)40  

= 1000 + 40d  - 120

= 880 + 40d

= 40(22 + d)

= 40(d + 22)

Therefore,

The function represents the days and cost  :

f(d)  =  1000    if  d   ≤ 3  

40(d + 22)  if  d  > 3
