Answer:

3 days

Step-by-step explanation:

(i)

Volume of water in the tank = Volume of the tank

                                               = 20 * 15 * 6

                                               = 1800 m³.

(ii)

Given that Each person requires 150 litres of water per day.

Requirement of water for a population of 4000 per day:

= 4000 * 150

= 600000 litres

= 600 m³.

(iii)

Number of days water will last = 1800 m³/600 m³

                                                   = 3 days.

Therefore, Water will last for 3 days.

Hope it helps!

Answer: 3 days

Step by step explanation:

Given,

Quantity of water in tank = (20 ×15×6) = 1800m³

Population of village = 4000

Water required = 150/per head per day

Quantity of water required by the village per day:

                                   = ( 4000 × 150) liters

                                   = 4000×150 ÷ 1000 m³

                                   =  600 m³

No. of days which the water will last

                                  = 1800÷600

                                  = 3 days

Explanation:

This question can be solved by 2 methods, I have solved this question in very simple way. In this question, There was the Given population and water requires per day.

And, There were a tank, which was wearing of 20 meters, 15 meters and 6 meters. We First find, Quantity of water in tank = (20 ×15×6) = 1800m³.

Then, We find Quantity of water required by the village per day.

= ( 4000 × 150) liters

= 4000×150 ÷ 1000 m³

= 600 m³.

And, Finally we divide it with 600 with 1800. And, we get 3 days.
