Solution :

Finding  Volume of  the tank

l * b * h

⇒20 * 15 * 6

⇒ 1800 m^3

Finding total water required per day

Water required per person per day = 150 litres

Water required to 4000 population per day = ( 4000 * 150) litre

⇒ 4000 * 150 * (1/1000) m^3

⇒ 600 m^3

Finding number of days water will last

⇒ 1800/600 ( in m^3 )

⇒ 3 days

Answer :

____Here's your Answer ________

Given;

Dimensions of Tank = 20 × 15 × 6

=> Volume of tank = 20 × 15 × 6

=> 1800 m^3

For 1 Person = 150 litre of water.

150 litre = 150/1000 m^3

=> For 4000 people = 4000 × 150l

=> 4000 × 150 / 1000

=> 4 × 150

=> 600 m^3

Now,

Number of days = Volume of tank / water required for 4000 people

=> No. of days = 1800 / 600

=> No. of days = 3.

Therefore,

The water will be for 3 days.
