Short note on my visit to a railway station.
Explanation:
I am Shakshi tharor studying fifth standard in Chennai. I have never been to any railway station since I was born. I didn't get any chance to visit one until yesterday. As my summer vacation had started, our family has planned for a long trip to south India.
The trip has started with Chennai Central railway station yesterday. that was my first time ever to see a railway station. I was wondered of those long platforms that extends to the long distance.
I have seen many trains and I learned how to buy a ticket to board a train. Even though my father had already booked our ticked through online, he thought me and my brother how to purchase a train ticket waiting in the ticket counter with fellow passengers.

On 12th December 2019 I went to the railway station to receive my aunt . There was a lot of noise on the platform . People were shouting ; engines were whistling ; carriages were being shunted ; and trains were coming in and going out . The platform was crowded with hundreds of passengers who seemed to be anxiously waiting for the train .
The station was a huge place . There was a big waiting Hall fitted with benches and electric fans . There were stalls . There were ticket offices , booking offices , refreshment rooms and book stalls . There was a long bridge spanning six or seven railway lines . I also saw the porters carrying passengers luggage on their heads or wheeling luggage-barrows . The porters were in their uniforms and I wondered how were they able to carry heavy loads on their heads . After waiting for an hour , I felt hungry and decided to take tea with some potato chips from the tea stall . I enjoyed my tea with chips . Just then the train came and my aunt met me with extreme happiness .
