E°= 100

Erms=E°/√2=100√2/2=50√2

Each=2E°/π=200/3.14=64

I hope this helps ( ╹▽╹ )

Given : A voltage is represented by a sine wave and has a maximum value of 100V

To find : The RMS value and average value.

Solution :

The RMS value is 70.711 volts and average value is 63.662 volts.

We can simply solve this numerical problem by using the following process. (our goal is to calculate the RMS value and average value from the given data)

Now,

Maximum value (Vₘ) = 100 Volts

According to the mathematical formula for calculating the RMS value, we can write that -

RMS Value (Vᵣₘₛ) = Vₘ/√2

By, Putting the given values, we get :

RMS Value (Vᵣₘₛ) = 100/√2 = 70.711 Volts

And,

According to mathematical formula for calculating the average values, we can write that -

Average value (Vₐᵥ) = 2V/π

By, Putting the given values, we get :

Average value (Vₐᵥ) = (2×100)/π = 63.662 Volts

Hence, the RMS value is 70.711 volts and average value is 63.662 volts.
