a Wall of length 6 metre and height 5.5 has a door of dimension and 2 metre by 1.5 metre and a window of dimension and 1.2 by 0.8 metre find the cost of painting the wall at rupees 80 per metre square​

Area of 4walls = 2(1 + b) h = 2 (12.5+9) ×7=301m²

Area of doors and windows=2 (2.5×1.2) + 4 (1.5×1)=12m²

Area to be painting=(301-12) = 289m²

Hence cost of painting is= Rs.289 × 3.5 = Rs.1011.50

area of door= 2 x 1.5= 3m square

area of window= 1.2 x 0.8= 0.96m square

area of wall= 33m square - ( 3 m square+ 0.96 m square)
