The two watches show the identical time again on completion of 360 days

Solution:

Given that,

A watch loses 2 minutes in every 24 hours

Another watch gains 2 minutes in every 24 hours

Thus, every day the time difference between the two watches will keep on increasing by 4 minutes

The two watches will show the same identical time when this difference of 4 minutes increases to 24 hours

1 hour = 60 minutes

24\ hour = 24 \times 60\ minutes = 1440\ minutes

For the difference to increase by 4 minutes it takes 1 day

Now find the difference to increase by 1440 minutes

1 day = 4 minutes

"x" days = 1440 minutes

Solve by cross multiplying

1440 \times 1 = 4x\\\\x = \frac{1440}{4}\\\\x = 360

Thus the two watches show the identical time again on completion of 360 days
