A water soluble salt when treated with dilute hydrochloric acid produces brisk effervescence . The gas evolved turns lime water milky but has no effect on acidified potassium dichromate .the salt produce a white ppt. when treated with NaOH solution which remains insoluble in excess . Identify the cation and the anion present i the salt .
