According to question:-

Water in the tank =

 = \frac{3}{4} \times 50

 = 37.5 \: l

Water drained away=

  = \frac{1}{2} \times 37.5

 = 18.75 \: l

Water added due to rain =

 = 18.75 + 2

 = 20.75 \: l
