A water tank has steps to go inside it. A monkey is sitting on the topmost step .The water level is at the seventh step.The monkey jumps three steps down and then jumps back 2 steps up .In how many such jumps will he reach the water level​

Monkey jumps 3 steps down and 2 steps up. so overall the monkey moves by 1 step in 2 jumps.

now for monkey to reach on 7th step, he need to go to 4th step first and that will take 8 jumps(as 2 jumps = 1 step).

now from the 4 step, the Monkey will jump 3 steps down in next jump and will reach the water.

so total no. of jumps will be 8+1 = 9 jumps.
