given,

frequency of wave , f = 40Hz

wavelength of wave, \lambda = 6m

we know speed of wave is the product of frequency and wavelength of wave.

i.e., speed of wave = frequency × wavelength

= 40 × 6 m/s

= 240 m/s

hence, speed of wave is 240 m/s
