Hey dear,

◆ Answer -
Distance(xy) = 1000 wavelengths

◆ Explaination-
# Given-
f = 500 Hz
s = 600 m
t = 2 s

# Solution-
Velocity of the wave is given by -
v = s / t
v = 600 / 2
v = 300 m/s

Wavelength of the wave is calculated by -
λ = v / f
λ = 300 / 500
λ = 0.6 m

No of wavelengths travelled -
N = s / λ
N = 600 / 0.6
N = 1000

Distance xy is equivalent to 1000 wavelengths.

Hope this helps...

1000

Explanation:

Since frequency is 500Hz therefore 500 wavelengths are travelled in 1second and therefore in 2 second 500×2 =1000.
