A wave progressive traveling towards +ve x direction, looks like:
y (x, t) = A Sin (ω t - k x)
wave speed = v = ω / k
particles oscillate up and down at the same position x. So the particle speed is :
d y(x, t) / dt = A ω Cos (ωt - k x) keeping x constant.
The ratio is: 1 / [ A k Cos (ω t - k x)
substitute the values to get the answer.
