a well is dug out whose radius is 2.5 m and depth is 63 m if the earth taken out from well is spread all over a rectangular field whose dimensions are 30m* 28m find the rise in level of the rectangular field ​

volume of earth taken out = volume of cylinder =

\pi \: r {}^{2} h

=

\pi(2.5) { }^{2}  \times 63

now, volume of rectangular field = volume of cuboid =

l \times b \times h

=

30 \times 28 \times h

= volume of earth dug out = volume of cylinder

so,

30 x 28 x h =

\pi \times 2.5 {}^{2}  \times 63

after solving

h = (\pi \times 2.5 {}^{2}  \times 63) \div (30 \times 28)

h = 1.473 m
