the body is constantly retarding and the acceleration is 50/40 =1.25m/s^2

ns2003: thank u for answering
Arjenton: why is he the brainliest the object is retarding
ns2003: sorry by mistakenly pressed

here is your answer

(a)according to the graph the object is in a non-uniform motion as it is continuously retarding.

(b)in this graph
time= 40sec
initial velocity=u= 50m/s
final velocity=v= 0m/s
so acceleration=a= (v-u)/t
= (0-50)/40
=-50/40
= -5/4 = 1.25m/s²

hope this will help you
