in older days people used to plough their feilds using animals but now they use machines like tractors.cultivation was there but now cultivation had become more advanced as like crop rotation etc.in ancient times people practice farming in large scale but now In small scale.earlier they used biomass but nowadays use of fertilizers , pesticides had increased which leads to increase in production of crops
