(a) The ability that certain substances have to exist in more than one physical form is called allotropy

(b) Isomers are ions or molecules with identical formulas but distinct structures. Isomers do not necessarily share similar properties. Two main forms of isomerism are structural isomerism and stereoisomerism.

(C)Example- ethane , methane

Properties of homologus series(couldn't select )-

(i) Each member of the series can be represented by a general formula.

(ii) All the members of the series can be prepared by the same general methods.

(iii) Physical properties changes throughout the series in a regular way.

(iv) Members of homologous series have similar chemical properties.
