Bio-catalysts are the living chemical substances that modifies, intensifies or initiates a chemical reaction in a living body.

  • Enzymes in our body are perfect examples of Bio-catalyst. Amylase, Hectokinase etc are examples of bio catalysts.
  • (b) Manganese di-oxide ( MnO2 ) is used in the preparation of oxygen(O2) in the laboratory from potassium Chloride.
  • (c) On reacting a weak base and a strong acid, the pH of the solution obtained remains less than 7.
