1) When iron nail is dropped in CuSO4 solution then displaces copper from copper sulphate solution.

This is because iron is more reactive than copper.

Due to this the blue colour of copper sulphate fades away.

2) This reaction is called Displacement Reaction.

3) CuSO4 +Fe gives FeSO4 + Cu
