a) population is the group of individual of same species in a particular area at a particular time.

b) the size of a population for any species is not a static parameter because the death and birth is continuous in a population that changes it.

population density is the total number of individual of a population in unit area in a given time. D= N/S.  

population size or density depend on 4 factors-

1) birth rate ( natality )   2) death rate ( mortality)   3)    Immigration  4)  Emmigration
