The difference between alternating current and direct current.

Explanation:

(a) Direct Current:

  • The current flow i.e., the flow of charges is in one direction.
  • The voltage is also in a single direction.
  • The digital appliances are DC.

Alternating Current:

  • The current flow i.e, the flow of charges is not in one direction i.e., it changes periodically.
  • The voltage reverses periodically according to the current flow.
  • The wired appliances are AC

(b) (i) A dry cell: A DC current is given

(ii) A power house generator : An AC current is given.
