A) Qutab minar is situated at Mehrauli in NewDelhi

B) The first three storey of Qutab minar was constructed using Dark redsand stone and the remaining storey were built using marble and sandstone. This building was constructed in Indo-Islamic architectural style.

C)This was first built in 1200 AD by Qutab-ud-din Aibak who was the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, then subsequently completed by his successor and son-in-law Iltutmush. He added three more storeys. But Qutab minar was damaged due to alightening twice and by earthquake one time, the subsequent Mughal rulers repaired it.

D) There are 5 rings in it. The rings are balconies where one can reach and view the whole city. This was designed because the Islam priest could reach closer and pray to Allah, because it is believed that he will be listened.

E)

1. First, pollution from vehicle, smoke stacks/chimneys of nearby industries affect the marble colour of Qutab minar, so government should bring measures to control smoke within a 20 mile radius

2. Extensive visitors load should be reduced while climbing the staircase.

3. Vibrations from the transport service including the Metro railway which is very near to the building and overflying airplanes should be reduced. Counteractive measures were
already taken for metro system, so now it would best if the airplane path is away from the monument.
