Carbons are the bad conductors of the electricity because the carbon atoms do not have any free electron which is in the conduction band. They are not able to conduct in the room temperature so, if you increase the temperature of the room, then the electrons will start acquiring energy and will start contributing to the conduction.

In organic chemistry, a saturated compound is one which has all single bonds in between the carbon-carbon atoms. Most of the saturated hydrocarbons are alkanes. So, the structures in which the carbon atoms are arranged in a ring are called as cycloalkanes, with a general formula of CnH₂n.There are many saturated cycloalkanes. The cycloalkane with the least number of carbon atoms is - Cyclopropane with 3 carbon atoms. Each carbon-carbon bond is a single bond. So, there will be 3 C-C bonds. Each carbon is attached to 3 hydrogen atoms. So, there will a total of 3 x 3 C-H bonds = 9 C-H bonds. So, a total of 12 single bonds in a cyclopropane structure.Similarly, the number of single bonds can be calculated in other saturated cycloalkanes like cyclobutane, cyclopentane, etc.

shramay11: Sryy dude each carbon atom is attached to 2 hydrogen atom ...so the total no. Of bond here is 9 single bonds (3 C-C bond and 6 C-H bonds)

A. In Most carbon compounds, there are no free electrons . So there electricity cannot pass. Thus, Most carbon compounds are bad conductor of electricity.

B. Saturated carbon compouds which are arranged in the form of ring are called cycloalkanes.

The smallest cycloalkane is cyclopropane . It have 3 C-C bonds(C means carbon) and 6 C-H bonds(H means hydrogen). So total no.of single bonds are 3+6 = 9 single bonds. Other examples are cyclobutane, cyclopentane, etc.
