Answers
Answer:
because this was a surprise for squirrel
Explanation:
This happens in one of the greatest epics of Indian literature Ramayana. Ram’s wife Sita was kidnapped by Ravana, a demon king. Lord Rama thus started preparing for war. They reached the shore of the Southern Sea. Ram asked his army of monkeys to build a bridge over the sea.
These monkeys worked day and night to build a bridge with heavy stones found in mountains which made Ram very happy.
He once saw a small squirrel carrying small stones with its mouth while other monkeys were carrying heavy stones. The monkeys ridiculed him for thinking that a bridge can be made with pebbles. But, all that the squirrel wanted to do was to help Lord Rama.
When he insisted that he also wants to carry stones, the monkey got so angry and threw him away.
The Squirrel fell on Lord Rama’s hand. He advised the monkeys not to make fun and ridicule the weak and small ones.
Due to the pure love shown by squirrel towards him, Rama stroked the Squirrel’s back and three stripes appeared on its body. This became a blessing for the Squirrel.
