The breathing rate of aquatic animals is faster thanthat of terrestrial animals because the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water in much less than the amount on land, so they have to breathe more in order to get more oxygen.

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER...............

________________________________

1)The aquatic animals have a faster rate of breathing as compared to the terrestial animals because the amount of oxygen present in air is low as compared to the amount of oxygen dissolved in water. Hence the aquatic animals have a faster breathing rate as compared to the terrestrial animals

2)The enzyme present in the saliva is called as the salivary amylase or salivary thyroxin. The function of this enzyme is to breakdown the larger food molecules into small molecules in such a way that the food can enter into the food pipe.
