a> We do paint objects made up of iron because of iron coming in contact with oxygen or acid or water get oxidized and forms rust and thus get corroded. So in order to prevent corrosion we need to paint it.

b}Nitrogen gas is filled in food packets containing fats because it acts as an anti - oxidant and prevent food from becoming Rancid.
