Answer :

›»› The radius the circle is 14 cm.

Given :

  • A wire is bent to form a square of side 22 cm.
  • The wire is rebent to form a circle.

To Find :

  • The radius of the circle = ?

Solution :

Let us assume that, the radius of the circle is r cm.

As it is given that, the wire is bent to form a square and the wire is rebent to form a circle. So,

→ Circle of circle = Perimeter if square.

→ 2πr = 4a

→ 2 * 22/7 * r = 4 * 22

→ 44/7 * r = 4 * 22

→ 44/7r = 4 * 22

→ 44r/7 = 4 * 22

→ 44r/7 = 88

→ 44r = 88 * 7

→ 44r = 616

→ r = 616/44

r = 14

Hence, the radius of a circle is 14 cm.

Option (b) 14 cm is correct ✔.
