hii!!

here's ur answer...

perimeter of square=perimeter of rectangle

given the side of the square is 22cm

perimeter of the square=side×4

=22×4

=88cm

therefore perimeter of rectangle is also 88cm.

length of the rectangle=8cm

→2(l+b)=88cm

→2(8+b)=88cm

→16+2b=88cm

→2b=88-16

→2b=72

→b=72/2

→b=36cm

★ verification ★

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

=2(8+36)

=2×44

=88cm

hence verified

thus the breadth of the rectangle is 36cm.

area of the rectangle=l×b

=8×36

=288cm²

hope this helps..!

Side of square=22 cm
Perimeter a square is equal to length of wire
Therefore perimeter of square=4*22
=88cm
Now
Perimeter of rectangle=length of wire
2(l+b)=88
2*8+2b=88
2b=88-16=72
b=36
So area =l*b=8*36=288cm^2
