The length is 40cm
The breadth is 22cm

The perimeter of the rectangle= 2l+2b = 80+44= 124 cm

Now when it's bent into a square,

The perimeter remains the same.

Perimeter of a square = 4 x side = 4a

4a= 124
a= 31cm

the sides of the square measure 31 cm

Hope this helps.

Each side of square is about 31 cm.
The area of square is 961 cm² and rectangle is 880 cm²
the area of square is bigger than area of rectangle by the difference of about 81cm²
let l and b be the length and breadth of rectangle .

then perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
2(40+22)
2(62)
124cm.
we know that perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square bcoz it made of same wire.
then , side of square = Perimeter/4

s=124/4=31cm
so, side is 31 cm then area of square is side²
(31)²
961 cm²
and area of rectangle is 40×22
880 cm²
so the square area is bigger than area of rectangle by the difference of 81cm².
