  • First we want to find the perimeter of the rectangle. After that we can find the side of square easily.

Perimeter of the rectangle = \large{2(l+b)}

Perimeter = \large{2(40+22)}

Perimeter = \large{2×62}

\large\sf\orange{•°•Perimeter\:of\:the\:rectangle\:is\:124cm.}

Now, We want to find the side of the square.

Now, here we know that the perimeter of the rectangle is 124cm. So the perimeter of the square also will be 124cm. Because the same wire is rebent in the shape of square.

So, Answer \downarrow

Formula for finding the side is = \large\frac{Perimeter}{4}

Side of the square = \large\frac{124}{4}

\large\sf\orange{•°•Side\:of\:the\:square\:is\:31cm.}

Now, To find which encloses more space we will find the area of the rectangle and square.

Area of rectangle = \large{l×b}

Area = \large{40×22}

Area = \large{880cm²}

Now, Area of square = \large{side×side}

Area = \large{31×31}

Area = \large{961cm²}

Since, 961cm² > 880cm²

\large\rm\orange{•°•Square\:encloses\:more\:area.}
