A wire is in the shape of a square of side 15cm. If the wire is recent into a rectangle of length 22cm. Find its breadth, also find their areas. Which encloses more area, the square or the rectangle?

length of wire = 15 ×4=60cm
perimeter of rectangular wire =60 cm
length of wire=22cm
2(l+b)=60
2(22+b)=60
22+b=30
b=30-22=8cm
area of square= 15×15=225sq.cm
area of rectangle=22*8=176sq cm
hence square encloses more area
