The initial colour of copper sulphate is a rather blue colour but as you add iron metal there will be a deplacement reaction between the copper sulphate and the iron nail.
CuSO4+Fe=FeSO4+Cu
The colour changes to greenish brown or light green which is the colour of FeSO4.
there will also be particles of Cu metal which will be in the colour of Cu metal.
