A wire is in the shape of a square of side 4 cm which is bent to form a circle.
What will be the circumference of the circle?

hey...mate....

here is your answer ......

perimeter of square = 4 * side

= 4*4

= 16 cm

since...,

perimeter of square = circumference of a circle

formula to find circumference =

circumference = 2πr

16 = 2π r

r = 16/2π

r = 8/π

circumference of a circle = 2πr

= 2*22/7*8/π

= 2*22/7*8/22*7

= 16 cm

the above solution was given in detail , to make u understand.....

but the simple and best way is..that...

if the shape of wire is not cut...then the length of wire remain same as in the case of square as well as circle...

so..

perimeter of square = 16

perimeter of square =

circumference of a circle = 16
