Perimeter of the square = 10×4
= 40cm
Perimeter of the square = perimeter of the rectangle formed
40cm = 2(l+b)
40cm = 2(12+b)
40cm = 24+2b
40cm-24cm = 2b
2b = 16cm
b=8cm
Breadth of the rectangle is 8cm.
