A wire of length 18 m had been tied with electric pole at an angle of elevation 30° with
the ground. Because it was convering a long distance, it was cut and tied at an angle of
elevation 60° with the ground. How much length of the wire was cut with diagram ?

Step-by-step explanation:

given the length of the wire =18m

let the height of the pole =hm

from tri. ABC, s

  sin30 =

opp/hyp

1/2=AB/AC

1/2=h/18

18/2=h

h=9m

In tri. BDA,

 \sin60 =

opp /hyp

 \sqrt{3} \div 2

root 3/2

=9/18-x

=root 3(18-x)=18

=18-x=18/root 3

=18-x=18/root3 * root 3 / root 3

=18-x=18root3/3

=18-x=6 Root3

=18-6root 3=x

hope it will help you
