A wire of length 2cm having resistance R is stretched to have an increase of 100 percent of original length . Find its new resistance with respect to its original resistance ?

Answer:The resistance is 2R

Explanation:

R1/R2=L1/L2

L1i. e 2cm is increased 100 percent

So it becomes 4cm

On solving we get R2=2R
