A wire of length 3m connected in the left gap of a metre bridge balances a 8 ohm resistances in the right gap at a point, which divides the bribge wire in the ratio 3:2 What is the length of the wire corresponding to a resistance of 1 ohm?

using the metre bridge equation
3/2=r/8
r=12ohm (r=resistance of 3m length resistance )

so
12 ohm correspondsto=3m length of wire
then,1 ohm corresponds to1/4m length of resistance

Supriyadc: thank you so much
