a wire of length 86cm is bent in the form of a rectangular such that it's Length is 7cm more than its breadth.find the length and the breadth of the rectangle so formed​

We have ,

   perimeter (length of wire) of rectangle = 86 cm

   let breadth of rectangle = x cm

   then,length is =(x+7) cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)

                    =>>  86 cm = { 2(x+7)  + 2(x) } cm

                   =>>  86 = 2x+2x+14

                    =>> 86-14 = 4x

                  =>> 72 = 4x

                  =>> x =18 cm

hence length of the rectangle= (x+7) = 18+7 = 25 cm

           then , its breadth will be = x =  18
