A wire of length l and resistance r is stretched so that its length is doubled and the area of cross-section is half.how will its resistivity change and its resistance change.

Resistivity will always remain constant like mass of a body.(It changes only for temperature change.)
Resistance will become 4 times
R = p (L/2)/(A/2)
=4pL/A
