Diameter divides the circle in 2 equal portions
So diameter of the upper part of the circle is 5 ohm and that of lower part of circle is also 5 ohm .Now they are in parallel connection. So equivalent resistance across the diameter of the circle is (1/5+1/5 )^-1=2.5 ohm

Answer:
Hope it helps
Once the wire is formed a closed circle, the circle makes two parallel paths (each has 5ohms ) across its diameter. And equalent resistance of two resistors of 5 ohms connected in parallel is 2.5 ohms. ... Now, a circle has resistance of 10 ohm
