A wire of resistance 20 ohm is stretched so that its new length is three times it's original length . calculate the resistance of the longer wire

Resistance=20ohm

Let the Length of wire be l

Length of longer wire=3l

Area =A/3

R=pl/A

R=p3l/A/3

R=9R

Resistance=9*20

= 180ohms
