Now the length of wire becomes half if taken as single

so we know R is directly proportional to the length and resistance of single part becomes 5/2 ohm.

Now total resistance

r \:  =  \frac{2}{5}  +  \frac{2}{5}  \\ r =  \frac{2+ 2}{5}  \\ r =  \frac{4}{5}  \\ r =  \frac{5}{4} ohm
