A wire of resistance 5 ohm is bent in the form of a closed circle. What is the resistance between two points at the ends of any diameter of the circle???

Explanation:

As R is directly proportional to length

so resistance of each half would be 2.5 ohm

and as two halves are is in parallel combination so R=(5/2*5/2)/(2*5/2) =1.25ohm
