Let ABC be he equilateral triangle such hat each side measures l.
Initial resistance of wire of length 3l was 9 ohm.
Hence, each side of triangle has a resistance of 3 ohm as resistance is directly proportional to length of the wire.

To find resistance across AB assume a battery to be connected across AB. Now, based on the way current flows, AC and BC are in series and both are connected in parallel to AB. 

Equivalent resistance across AB= (6×3)/(6+3)= 2 ohm

Here, 6 ohm is the combined resistance of AC and BC that is connected in parallel to AB that has a resistance of 3 ohm.

ANSWER: 2 ohm
