A wire when bent in the form of a square encloses an area of 16 sq.cm. Find the area enclosed by it when the same wire is bent in the form of rectangle whose sides are in the ratio 1 : 3

Area of square = 16
side* side=16
side=4
perimeter=4×4=16
let length of rectangle = 1x
" breadth " " " = 3x
perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square
2(l+b) = 16
2(4x) = 16
x= 2
length = 2
breadth = 6
