A wire when bent in the form of square enclosed an area 121sq cm. If the wire was bent in the form of a circle, then find the area enclosed by the circle

ANSWER:

Area of square=side x side

121=side^2

so,

side=11cm

perimeter of square=4 x side

perimeter=4 x 11

so,

perimeter is 44cm.

give that wire is bent to form a square. so,

perimeter=length of wire

length=44cm

now wire is made into a circle.so,

circumference of circle=length of wire

circumference=44cm

2 x 22/7 x r=44cm

r=7cm

now to find area of circle whose radius is 7cm.

area of circle=22/7 x r^2

area=22/7 x 7 x 7

area=154
