A woman bought certain number of eggs ,out of which 4% were bad. After selling 75% of the remaining ,she had 96eggs. Find the number of eggs she bought ?

let the no of eggs originally bought be x
since 4% of these eggs were bad,
remaining no of eggs = 96x \ 100
as she sold 75% of remaining eggs,
eggs remaining = 25% of good eggs
=25*96x \ (100*100),
which is equal to 96 eggs.
therefore,
25*96x \ 10000 = 96,
so, x = 400
therefore she bought 400 eggs
