Answer:

⇒1/6 of 480=480*\frac{1}{6}

                =80

⇒she sold 80 eggs

⇒remaining eggs=480-80

                         =400

⇒3/8 of 400=400*\frac{3}{8}

                 =150

⇒150 eggs were spoiled

⇒remaining good eggs=400-150

                                   =250

⇒250 eggs were good

The number of goods remaining is 250.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of eggs in the basket, n = 480.

The woman sold 1/6 of the eggs.

Remaining eggs = 480\times(1-\frac{1}{6})=480\times \frac{5}{6}=400

Now of the remaining 400 eggs 3/8 were bad.

Number of good eggs in the remaining batch is:

Good\ eggs=400\times (1-\frac{3}{8})=400\times \frac{5}{8}=250

Thus, the number of goods remaining is 250.
